Finding books:

This page contain a link to the catalog and catalog search tips. Also included are links to online encyclopedias provided by the library and preconfigured catalog searches.

Finding articles:

Here you will find links to various databases containing articles and information to help you research your speech. The databases on this page have information on world issues & current events, news articles, primary documents, scholarly articles, and more. 

Websites, links and associations:

Within this page, you will find free online encyclopedias, links to associations of interests, free online research studies, and other helpful links.

Create Your Library Login

It’s important you set up your library account so you can access databases and e-books from off-campus.

Instructions:

  1. Go to the library homepage
  2. In the upper left hand corner, click on My Account (drop-down option under "My Account" tab).
  3. On the library account login page, click Set/reset password directly underneath the Sign In button.
  4. In the box that opens, enter your NU ID # and click "Request new password." An email with instructions will be sent to your UNO email account.
  5. The link in your email will take you to the screen shown below. Fill in the fields and click "Change Password."

**Please note, your User Name is your NU ID #. Very important!!**

You can now login to your library account and access eBooks and databases with your NU ID # and newly created password.
