SpaceX capsule in space

"Light this candle!'

On May 31, 2020, the first astronauts to launch from the United States since the end of the NASA space shuttle program in 2011 lifted off in the Endeavour, a privately-contracted capsule built by SpaceX. It marked the first time in history that a private company had flown astronauts to orbit. On August 3, 2020, the Crew Dragon spaceship successfully landed in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Pensacola, Florida.

So what is SpaceX and how does Elon Musk play a part in the commercialization of space exploration? Check out our display to learn more about the man, the company, and the privatization of space flight!
