ILUNO & International Students

This guide contains helpful information for international students using Criss Library.

About Your Library Account

It’s important you set up your library account so you can access:

  • Your Library Account:
    • View fines
    • Put books on hold
    • Renew items
    • See what you have checked out
  • eBooks
  • Databases from off-campus

Your library account is not the same as your email or Canvas accounts. It needs to be created. See below for instructions.

Create Your Library Account

To create your library account, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the library's "My Account" page by clicking on the link above.
  2. On the "My Account" login page, click "Set/reset password" directly underneath the "Sign In" button.
  3. In the box that opens, enter your NU ID # & click "Request new password." An email with instructions will be sent to your UNO email account.
  4. The link in your email will take you to the screen shown below. Fill in the fields and click "Change Password."

You can now login to your library account, eBooks, and databases with your NU ID # and newly created password.

If you have any questions or issues regarding setting up your library login, please call the Library Service Desk at 402-554-3206.

Create Your Interlibrary Loan Account

Sometimes, Criss Library may not have a book or article that you want. With an interlibrary loan (ILL) account, you can ask Criss Library to borrow books and articles from other libraries for you. We'll email the articles directly to you and hold the books for you to check out at the library.
