Magic Leap AR
Appointments for the use of the Magic Leap AR kit can be made by email to the current CPL supervisor. Reservations can be made for up to 2 hours per patron per day, with at least 1 hour between reservations for device charging.
Appointments can be made for use-only reservations for the headset and controller. The GreenScreen studio can be arranged for use as a recognized environment map. Software availability is limited to currently owned software linked to the CPL Magic Leap account.
Use of the Magic Leap AR creator kit and Hub for the purposes of development and application testing is available and encouraged. Currently, development is possible through the Unity 2019 game engine. Unity is available on CPL Mac PCs, but uploading of applications in-development is restricted to a CPL controlled Magic Leap account. Please coordinate appointments via email with the current CPL supervisor.
The Magic Leap AR is not compatible with glasses, and may not be usable by patrons requiring glasses to navigate a space, read text, or identify objects.
