Social Equity Resources

As members of the UNO community, we recognize the systemic racism, oppression, and marginalization of black, indigenous, LGBTQIA2S+, and people of color. We also recognize people face oppressions relating to identities of their minds, bodies, and spirituality. These identities may be visible or invisible to others, and are often intersectional.

We embrace our core values of inclusion and diversity, and are strongly committed to confronting the prejudices, biases, and inequities through our collections, spaces, services, and social activism.

This guide provides access to and facilitates discovery of resources related to oppression and social justice activism.

While not exhaustive, this guide provides a wealth of background information, essential readings, and media content, alongside other online venues and platforms dedicated to promoting dialogue on these issues.
