Print Book and eBook Guides

The following study guides are available in Criss Library for check out or online. The newer print books are usually on reserve and kept behind the circulation desk on the main (second) floor. Ask staff at the desk for access to these print books, they are available for a short check out period.

GRE

TOEFL

CLEP
"The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know by earning qualifying scores on any of 33 examinations."
LSAT

MCAT

Praxis (PPST)

GMAT
"The GMAT exam is a standardized assessment, delivered in English, that helps business schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management."
MAT
"The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high-level test of analytical ability that requires the solution
of problems stated as analogies. The MAT consists of 120 partial analogies that you have 60
minutes to complete. The test measures your ability to recognize relationships between ideas, your
fluency in the English language, and your general knowledge of the humanities, natural sciences,
mathematics, and social sciences."
PCAT
"The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) endorses the PCAT as the official preferred admission test for entrance to pharmacy college."
SAT
The Scholastic Aptitude Test... "is the benchmark standardized assessment of the critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills students have developed over time and that they need to be successful in college."
ACT
"The ACT® test assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work."
Nursing School Entrance Exam
Guides to various tests for entrance into health careers.

The first item is a subscription based resource from the Criss Library. The rest are freely available from the web.

Start searching

Enter search words to search by keyword. By default the bar on this guide searches "Library Catalog". This will return items at UNO Libraries. You can also search “Everything," "Articles," "Network Catalog" which will search all the library in the University of Nebraska System, or “Course Reserves.”
Click on "Advanced Search" to search by subject, title, or author fields. "Advanced Search" gives you many options to limit your search—by material type, date, language, etc. Or, you can filter your results after searching.

Refine your results

Use the filters on the left-hand side of the screen to limit your results by date ,resource type, location, language, and more.
