This workshop presented the details of what the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Institutional Repository, DigitalCommons@UNO, is and how to get work uploaded to the repository. It also covered how to build a scholarly profile using the PINPOINT (Portfolio, Institutional repository, Network, Publishing, Open access, ID, Name, and Tracking) method.

In celebration of 2022 Open Access Week join UNO Libraries to learn more about open access and how the library can help you make your work accessible! Open access is the dissemination of research and creative works with the paywall structure removed, making work freely accessible and available to use worldwide. Making your work open access can strengthen control of your scholarship in the digital age. The library has many resources available to support open access and your scholarly output. Learn more about open access and the library resources to help make your work accessible. In this workshop we will explore the basics of open access, the open access publishing agreements available to UNO faculty, how creative commons can help open up access and protect your work, and how DigitalCommons@UNO can help support your efforts to make your research and creative activity open and accessible.

DigitalCommons@UNO (https://digitalcommons.unomaha.edu/) is an Institutional Repository (IR) and an initiative implemented by the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Libraries to support our UNO scholars through providing a Green Open Access solution. DigitalCommons@UNO disseminates a wide variety of scholarship including faculty papers, electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs), conferences and journals. Since its launch in 2014, the UNO Libraries have been implementing and managing DigitalCommons@UNO through outreach to the UNO community in an effort to collect scholarly works into the IR.
