Fontenelle Forest and the Nebraska Master Naturalist Program will host the National Association for Interpretation’s (NAI) Certified Interpretive Trainer workshop at Camp Brewster during the week of October 15-19 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.

Eugene T. Mahoney State Park offers year-round accommodations and recreational use. This ultra modern park offers a spectacular array of lodging, group meeting facilities and activities. Located near Ashland, just off of I 80 at exit 426, Mahoney nestles on 690 acres along the picturesque Platte River.

Nebraska's state park system encompasses 87 areas across the state.

The City of Bellevue Recreation Department is staffed by one full time employee, Jim Shada. The Department's aim is to provide the leisure needs of the community. The Recreation Department offers 52 different activities throughout the year, providing recreational outlets for an estimated 84,600 participants. Some of the highlighted activities include the Youth Baseball/Softball program with arount 1400 participants, Swimming Lessons with 650 participants, and Track Club with 250 participants. The Department of Recreation also has activities for adults, including softball basketball, and volleyball leagues.
